Episode 23 - 1957 Season Review

In our ongoing look at Braves history, we look at the one Milwaukee team we will cover, the World Champion 1957 squad. First, though we pay some attention to the 2017 team by talking about the Sean Rodriguez signing, which we like even if it isn't going to be a game changer. Our discussion of the 1957 Braves mainly focuses on just how good this team was up and down the lineup, while being anchored by three inner circle Hall of Famers in Warren Spahn, Hank Aaron, and Eddie Matthews. We undertake a deep dive on the great World Series the Braves played against the Yankees, with the World Series hero being starting pitcher Lew Burdette. We also compare the 1950s and 1990s Braves, although that mostly led to us lamenting how the Braves don't have more championships.
