Episode 29 - 1988 Season Review

Our offseason review has led us to the worst season in the history of the Atlanta Braves, the 1988 squad. So we were both relieved to be able to discuss the Mallex Smith trade. Although there were jokes to be had about more young pitching prospects, we also acknowledge that it's hard for Mallex Smith to crack a team employing Ender Inciarte. Finally, we got to the 1988 season, whose real highlight was a suddenly over the hill Dale Murphy, who was still probably the best hitter on the team. Really, we take the chance to look at the players in the minors who would become the backbone of the team that made the World Series just three years later.
