Episode 28 - 1982 Season Review

The 1982 Braves were a really good team at the start of the season, winning their first 13 games. Then they were sort of mediocre. Then they were really bad in August. Then they had a great closing kick that propelled them to winning the division by a game. Their lineup was uneven too, but did feature Dale Murphy and Bob Horner at their primes. Also, Phil Niekro was still far and away the team's best pitcher at 43. 1982 was also the year that Pascual Perez got the nicknames "Wrong Way" and "I-286" for missing the stadium. All in all, it was a really fun year that the Braves did not build upon at all.
