Episode 70 - Phil Niekro

Ender Inciarte won a Gold Glove, the Braves prospects in the Arizona Fall League are rolling, and the investigation into the front office is still continuing, so we didn't have much news. That meant we got a ton of time to talk about the greatest knuckleballer in history, Phil Niekro. There is literally no one who has thrown as good a knuckleball for as long as Knucksie did. This led to some pretty weird stat lines, year after year. In Niekro's career, the Braves really only had two good teams, in 1969 and 1982, and he was the staff ace for both. In between, he kept winning and losing lots of games, because he was all they had. This made him a hero to older Braves fans, a one of a kind in baseball history, and severely underrated for many people.
