Episode 71 - November 24, 2017

Well, we finally found out about the Braves' international punishments from Major League Baseball, and they are severe. Almost the entire international signing class from 2016 was set as free agents, reducing the Braves' prospect load by 13 players. They also got serious restrictions on future international signing periods that will harm their ability to sign pretty much anyone who is not from the United States. The harshest penalty was reserved for the Braves' former GM, John Coppolella, who was put on the permanently ineligible list. This has massive ramifications for the Braves moving forward, all of which we discuss. We aren't real sure to make of it all, but we don't like it as Braves fans. We also discuss the Braves' brand new GM, Alex Anthopolous, a wheeler-dealer who helped push the Blue Jays to serious contenders. All in all, it's a strangely newsworthy podcast for the offseason.
