Episode 52 - June 23, 2017

The Braves aren't really a good baseball team, but they sure are fun right now. After amazing comebacks and huge innings, the Braves are in 2nd place in the NL East, but still far out of first or even a Wild Card spot. With rumors of Freddie Freeman being the third baseman of the future, we consider how far away that future really is, because we aren't certain keeping Matt Adams' bat in the lineup through a problematic defensive alignment is better than trading Big City for some interesting prospects. We also are still in favor of trading Nick Markakis, Matt Kemp, and Brandon Phillips, who have all been contributing in this recent fun streak. We also diagnose the problem as Braves fans having unrealistic expectations of developments for teams because of 1991. At the end, we realized that we had talked about the minor leagues less than we ever have, which says something about this team.
