May 28 - 1934 - The Dionne Quintuplets are Born
In the 1930s and 40s, the most famous Canadians in the world were five identical sisters from a poor farming family, the Dionne Quintuplets. Their family home and the nursery built across the street from their family home would become Canada's largest tourist attraction, known as Quintland. But the Dionne Quintuplets themselves never wanted the fame they achieved. Although they became famous because people wanted to look out for them, the Dionne Quintuplets are a cautionary tale of unintended consequences.
