July 3 - 1863 - Pickett's Charge

Pickett's Charge on the third day of the Battle of Gettysburg is often considered "The High Water Mark of the Confederacy," which really means that after that it was all downhill for the Confederate Army. Often, this makes Pickett's Charge a great what-if question, speculating what would happen if it had succeeded and the Confederacy had gotten the victory. A closer look at Pickett's Charge makes it seem like there was never a possibility for Confederate success for a whole number of reasons.
